Online PLUS Loan Application Instructions for parents

Welcome parents of CCA students!

Please follow the three easy steps listed below to begin the process of completing your Parent PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN). Call 800.979.4441 or e-mail loaninfo@nela.net from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST if you need assistance.

Get Prepared

Before you begin the application process, you will need the following:

• Your requested loan amount.
• Two personal references, with separate addresses.
• Your son or daughter's Social Security number.

Confirmation

The first Web page you'll be directed to is the Parent PLUS Loan Confirmation page where you will be asked:

• A series of questions to confirm details of your loan request for CCA.
• To designate your lender. Please research the borrower benefits on our lender comparison chart.
  • These lenders are strongly recommended by CCA. If you would like to choose a different lender, you will have the option to do so. However, you will be redirected back to CCA's Web site and you must contact the Financial Aid Office to continue your application, which could delay delivery of your loan funds.

Application

The second Web page you will be directed to is the online loan application for your chosen lender.

• Do not close your Web browser! If you close your browser, you won't be able to complete your lender's online loan application.
• Follow the application directions to complete your MPN.
• If you received a Parent PLUS Loan last year and you plan to use the same lender, you only have to complete the Parent PLUS Loan Confirmation page and submit your information to CCA.
